The newest release of TerraExplorer (v6.1) offer again many improvements. Eye catchers are the support of ambient occlusion, loading of models in .3ds format, automatic conversion to multi-resolution 3D models and automatic conversion of 3D polylines to fence and well representations. - Restoration of ferry slips with satellite images (RD Congo) - Wednesday, January 11, 2012
GeoID provides a range of satellite images on behalf of the “Sites de Bac” project. In this project, the Belgian Technical Cooperation works on the revaluation of several ferry passages in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These passages are necessary to connect the transport infrastructure over the large number of rivers. Specifically, the Belgian Technical Cooperation will draw plans to re-establish the access roads to the ferry boats.

Ganja and Sheki are two cities in Azerbaijan with together almost 400.000 inhabitants. Satellite images and topographic data produced by GeoID help to plan future water supply and sewerage networks of these cities.
- Planning of plantations with UAV data (RD Congo) - Monday, December 12, 2011
UAV data prove their usefulness in the design of new plantations in the Democratic Republic of Congo. A total of 15km² has been recorded with two flights at an altitude of 450 m. For each of the sites, GeoID delivered a TrueOrtho, a digital elevation model, the derived topographic data and a Virtual Serveyor project. The raw images arrived on Friday, and the data were delivered on Monday.
